Marsha Baird

Marsha was born and raised in a small town call Point Fortin in Trinidad and Tobago. She has an older sister who helps motivate her to run her elementary school 5k. Marsha grew up playing cricket as a teenager and that’s how her athlete career started. Knew she wanted to work with youth ever since going to Chicago in 1994 with the sociology department from Ricks College. Marsha has a love for people and calls everyone a friend. She values her friendship and uses others to inspire her. She enjoys crocheting and making jams. She also enjoys movies with her husband and kids on a Friday or Saturday night in their living room. She is a mother of 3 boys (Mark14, Ty 13, London 11) and has been married for 21years to Greg Baird who works at BYU in the Division of Continuing Education and is her biggest fan.

4th place finisher at the 1998 NCAA track and field Championship
Former National Record holder (2000-2018 for Trinidad)
